At this point we've established that the SSH client is doing its job
properly. The problem resides with the SSH server component. We need to
find its logs.

Try grep -i ssh /var/log/* and see if anything pops up.

If that doesn't work, we may have to run sshd in debug mode.

We may have reached a point where a house call makes more sense than trying
to grasp in the dark via email. Ping me off list if you want to arrange
that.
